History

The VORTEX-95 Operations Plan is a rewritten version of the VORTEX-94 Operations Plan. Most of the writing, and all of the editing, has been the responsibility of Erik Rasmussen. The following individuals contributed to that document, and have helped with the rewrite this year: Howie Bluestein, Mike Branick, Robert P. Davies-Jones, Charles Doswell III, Robert A. Maddox, Jose Meitin, Jerry M. Straka, Andrew I. Watson.

WWW version

This version of the Operations Plan is a " Weberized" version of the draft plan created in late February, 1995. Individuals needing the " official" operations plan, due to be published near 15 March 1995, should contact Erik Rasmussen.

This paper version of the Operations Plan was written under NeXTStep using FrameMaker. Most of the figures were drafted using Appsoft Draw and easily reformatted into a variey of formats using OmniImage. The first cut at html was performed using the UNIX/GNU " gawk" program. The awk script that controlled the conversion is available (with no warranty or support of any kind!) from Erik Rasmussen. The resulting html files were edited to clean up formatting and correct some of the links. The Web Browser used in the interactive editing of the html was OmniWeb.

Harold Brooks has been largely responsible for facilitating and encouraging the use of WWW at NSSL, and has provided assistance in the creation of this document.
