VORTEX STATUS MESSAGE AND FORECAST DISCUSSION

OPERATIONAL STATUS AT 1000 CDT: NO GO
TARGET AREA: N/A
SUPPLEMENTAL SOUNDING/ARCHIVE II REQUESTS: NONE

DAILY FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Dry, cold, stable airmass means near-zero chances for con-
vection, with virtually zero chance for severe convection or
targetable storms.

Long range forecasts will occupy our thoughts for several
days, as near term looks pretty grim. Next major trough
shown on progs may pass through before any chance for re-
turn of moisture, so it may be toward the weekend before the
chances rise above negligible levels.
