Summary of Daily Weather
Date Being Summarized: 04 April 1995

Trends established the previous day continued with no important departures. The
extremely cold air mass made it as far south as the OK-KS border or so, with the
majority of the surge moving across the Great Lakes and New England. The slow
progress of the system in the southern branch of the westerlies continued, with
most of the important convection being confined to the TX Gulf Coastal region,
where there were a couple of tornado reports, along with some other severe wx.

The moisture has remained in place in southern TX but the midtropospheric lapse
rates have declined somewhat. The majority of the convection was confined well
to the south of the operations area, with the best activity probably being over
the Gulf of Mexico.
