Date Being Summarized:  24 April 1995

A short wave and cold pool aloft (-25 dega c at 500 mb) moved acrs cntrl ptns
of the vortex area on Monday April 24th.  Although sfc dew points were only in
the 40s, a few weak, high-based thunderstorms formed.  There was some lightning 
with the afternoon storms, and one report of nickel size hail at vinita, ok.
The thunderstorms dissipated very quickly at sunset.  Temperatures tumbled
into the lower 40s across much of the area during the night, as cool and dry
high pressure remained across the area.
