Summary of Daily Weather
Date Being Summarized: 27 April 1995

A large surface anticyclone settled over the area, resulting in a cool
and dry day. Moderate zonal flow aloft brought patches of fast-moving
cirrus to the Texas/Oklahoma area. By afternoon the westerlies resulted in
initiation of a less-side trough which brought southerly winds to northwest
Texas. However, the south winds only recycled dry air, thus convection did
not form.

Stonger westerlies and a series of mid-level disturbances across the western
U.S. promised a return of moisture and thunderstorm chances in the southern
plains for 4/28 and 4/29.
